Dofus 1.27 released!

Yes its been released! Wooooo! My Eni’s having a few issues solo’ing now… Booooo! >.< Blah, its all good though. Sacriers took the biggest team hit, but they are much better solo now.

The was a change to vitality / health that i like, you now get 5 health per level. You don’t get a refund for all the points you spent in vitality on older characters though. The downside is, you take un-healable damage in fights now. Well, i say downside, it does mean you cant have the 2 Eni’s everlasting fight situation anymore.

Theres also new special skills for all the classes. Meaning theres an equivalent of Felination for every class thats available at the temples. You have to beat your dopple to get it.

Dofus Linux Instalation

A quick guide for one of my fave Linux MMORPG’s. This guide is intended for Ubuntu and its derivatives.

If you find this post looking for a problem about security settings and flash, its near the bottom ^^

Ok, first of all, we need to install Flash. Open up terminal and enter :

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

Now follow this link – Click Here

Click the bit under the orange box that says If you do not use Windows, please click here. Now download the Linux client.

Unzip it into whatever folder you like. The file named Dofus.html is the starting icon. But first of all, we need to tell Flash its an OK app to use.

Click Here.

Now, click Edit Locations -> Add Location. Then add the whole Dofus folder (not just dofus.html but the entire Dofus folder). Then select always allow. Now you should be good to go. Start the game game with Dofus.html and take in the beauty of this pretty game all in flash ^^

New screenshots of Dofus 2.0

Ok, so this news is a few days old (im behind, tinkering with PC to much ^^).

For those that dont know, Dofus is a very heavily populated MMO with a Linux client. It has a Mac and Windows client too, but we dont realy care about that do we? ^^ Its fairly level grindy (mind you so was WoW and its huge) but has a huge population. Its very cute, very pretty, and actually quite addictive!

Anyways, they are re writing the whole client. From the way it contacts the server to every piece of artwork in the game. It looks ruddy fantastic! So beautiful for what is essentially a flash game turned MMO. They have released some more screenshots of it recently and thought id direct you to them ^^

Dofus heroic server now up!

Huzaah! The hardcore server has arrived and theres been a slaughter so far! 130,000 dead so far and rising fast!

130,000 dead adventurers will now be able to share their experience and chitchat in the Cemetery of Heroes about their pathetic ending and the trophies they have won.

As for those who are still alive, they will closely follow their ranking and look for their opponents in the Fields of Glory.

Now we just need to find the 5,000+ people who got killed by a tofu ^^
